Papery leaf

This is what our big, yellow maple leaves look like a while after they fall. They get all papery and eventually fall apart, unlike the oak leaves, which never seem to decompose.

Dogwood

Another nice tree in our yard – this dogwood’s got pretty white flowers in the spring and the leaves turn this fiery mottled red and yellow in the fall.
