On our way back from the Lunar New Year Festival in Chinatown we walked through this quiet little park next the House of Ruth.
This is what our big, yellow maple leaves look like a while after they fall. They get all papery and eventually fall apart, unlike the oak leaves, which never seem to decompose.
Part of last fall’s leaf cleanup effort, which I never quite complete. Many of them are still out there, safe for a while under a blanket of snow.
