I found a sweet 135/2.8 Vivitar lens at Hampden Junque in Baltimore last weekend. I haven’t taken a lot of photos with it yet, but it looks like it worked fine on these maple leaves.

Fire alarm box
There are quite a few of these old fire alarm boxes around town. I don’t think any of them do anything anymore, but most that I’ve seen look like they’re painted now and then.
With all of the tourists in town for the cherry blossoms, it’s a great time for taking pictures of people taking pictures. In my walk around the Tidal Basin I was asked to take two photos, which seems like a lot for a guy wearing a baseball cap and glasses.
Pink blossoms
More cherry blossoms! Because, why not?
Cherry blossoms
We have a tall cherry tree in the backyard, so I don’t need to go all the way down to the Tidal Basin to see blossoms. They’re a bit far up there though, so it’s a good opportunity to use one of my longer lenses. For this I used my favorite, a 135/3.5 Super Takumar, with an extension tube for closer focusing.
