Our cats grew up in an apartment so they’re mostly indoor kitties, but in the summer we let them wander around the backyard while we watch, keeping them from eating birds or doing other goofy things. Oscar usually gets bored after a while and comes back to the deck to lay on this foot stool.
Penelope tried to go for a walk, but didn’t make it very far. She likes to go out to chew on grass, but there’s no telling when she’ll be able to find anything other than snow out there.
A funky sculpture on a pier in Baton Rouge, not far from the USS Kidd. The waterfront along the Mississippi was pretty and very quiet when we were there in January last year.
An old photo, taken with my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot A40. These are the old Capitol Columns at the National Arboretum. We went on a night tour there a couple of years ago, pretty spooky and fun.
