We dropped by the U.S. Botanic Garden in DC to give Oliver a chance to molest some new and interesting flowers. He was actually very well behaved! There’s a kids’ are in the middle with big tubs of water that he thought were pretty fun.

Red seeds

The big maple trees in the neighborhood have already dropped their seeds, but our Japanese maple trees are just getting their pretty red helicopters ready for launch.

The sage is about to bloom

I guess I should think of something to make with sage, maybe a roasted chicken or some pork chops?

Nightingale II

We saw this while walking along Washington Channel looking at the cherry blossoms. It’s easily the best-looking tour boat I’ve seen around here.

Tiny blue flowers

The grassy parts along Washington Channel near Hains Point were filled with these tiny blue flowers when we went down to see the cherry blossoms.
